2005 Bonnaroo

bonnaroo was good. this was my third year. this year was a little different because dr. xxx got me a guest ticket. a guest ticket is some cross between VIP and Artist. first, we got to park and camp just over the wall from the stage. this was a special bonus. in previous bonnaroo years, the walk to the festival was an hour long. so, i had to be sure to bring everthing i needed to get me from noon till 4am...then a hour walk home. that was tough. second, we were able to camp in some tree shade. that is very valuable. in previous years, i would return to the tent at 4am and wake up in my oven tent at 7am. 3hrs of sleep between party days does not work. i got to sleep until 10:30 everyday... waking up feeling fresh. getting into the festival from our campground was easy, no security frisks, no massive long lines...no line at all. i was able to go back and forth from stage to tent to nap and fill up my flask of KNOBB CREEK. i could just nap and listen to the music or sit in my chair outside of the tent. beautiful. so, with the ease of camping next to the festival i have fewer stories. the regular campgrounds are a source of struggle and bizzare people. i missed the interaction with the bizzare people. i did not miss the struggle. anyway everything went well. we had a good time thanks ferg
